About Cause For Puppies
Cause for Puppies is a non-profit business based
in Lincoln, Nebraska, whose profits help to
support local and Nebraska animal charities. We
are a unique retail establishment that accepts
donations of new and gently-used infants and
children’s clothing, toys, and baby equipment.
Our store’s concept is based on a “boutique for
children” motto, which sets us apart from
other second-hand establishments.
We are a web-based business that markets
children’s items that can be purchased locally or
through our web site. Local customers are able to
access items for sale at our Lincoln location, located
at 5700 Old Cheney Road, Lincoln, NE. Customers may contact our business at (402) 420-5758. Our website address is causeforpuppies.org.
Cause for Puppies is a business that parallels and works within the existing Cause for Paws store that sells adult-size clothing, shoes, jewelry, handbags, and decorative and household items in good condition. The Cause for Paws store is also located in Lincoln at 5700 Old Cheney Road and has a new location at 2445 South 48th Street.
Due to the support of donors and customers, Cause for Paws has given financial assistance to charities that include: Nebraska No-Kill Canine Rescue, Lincoln Animal Ambassadors, The Cat House, Hearts United for Animals, Big Dogs Huge Paws, The Great Pyrenees Rescue of Nebraska, Golden Retriever Rescue in Nebraska, The Capital Humane Society of Lincoln, and Nebraska Wildlife Rescue. Cause for Puppies will combine its profits with those from Cause for Paws, to enhance the support already given to these remarkable organizations by Cause for Paws. Together we can make a larger impact than if we worked alone.
Donations to our business directly support animal charities whose work contributes to the humane treatment and care of pets. Specifically, we donate our profits to organizations having services that include a pet food bank, adoption that prevents animals from being euthanized, spay/neuter and release programs for feral cats, a low-cost spay and neuter program for pets, rescue of pets from inhumane treatment, and the rehabilitation of injured wildlife.
